Success is Earned, not Given

Now that we’re into the third week of August, our stripe testing for the second level has begun. After watching this afternoon’s Little Dragons class, it’s clear that the kids have absorbed their curriculum and are starting to execute their forms with more precision and grace.

It’s exciting to watch a student learn new material, eventually master it, and then have the ability to perform it in front of a large crowd at graduation. Graduation is scheduled for Saturday, September 21, and will take place at Hamilton District Christian High School in the early evening.

Our focus is to continue working on our curriculum as we begin our graduation demos next week and begin putting the finishing touches on our forms. If today was any indication of what’s to come over the next few weeks, we as instructors are very excited and can’t wait to see the progress continue. So, let's practice, review our material,  and attend our classes with 100% effort in the dojo and at home.

In just a few weeks, you’ll be the student who is more driven at the beginning of the school year and better able to adjust to the shift in schedule. While other kids might struggle to get back on track, rest assured that you’ll have the endurance and discipline to tackle the school year with greater focus than ever before.

Keep up the great work and keep striving for excellence!
